TWC M6 Gran Coupe 1.3: the cab view, five passes from the seat, and whose sound it is

The Roadmaster's cab view ported to the M6 in one cut, then five interior passes in a night, each from Reggie's notes from the driver's seat and against photographs of his own car. What Blender showed and the bundle did not, and the line the pack now draws around the engine recordings.

The seat

The cab view built for the Roadmaster this same day went onto the M6 as a fourth small patch: scroll the camera fully in while driving and you sit in the driver’s seat, body hidden, free to look. It landed in one cut because the three lessons had already been paid for on the truck. The eye point it logged said the head sits four centimeters under the roof lining in this car, so the cab eye was dropped nine centimeters, nearer a real driver’s.

Five passes, one night

Every pass began with Reggie’s words from the seat and a measurement, not a guess. The block behind the mirror was not the pod that had been flattened; it was a second console housing modeled into the dash. The roof lining sagged into a band that swallowed the pod, so the lining was flattened over the console and the pod rebuilt flat against three photographs Reggie took of his own overhead console that night. The white squares on the stack were 140 button islands on a source material with no texture; they got a legend atlas, then a bigger one when the first read as mush in game, mapped to each key’s top face only. The dials were white because the cluster’s image was packed inside the Blender file with no path and never reached the FBX. Paint faces facing into the cabin went black in two rounds, the second catching the sills and pillar returns the first had missed. Carbon on the dash brow, layered door cards, one material per seat panel, a matte cabin, and the wheel emblem replaced by a plain black disc: this is a mod, and the marque’s emblem stays off it.

What Blender showed and the bundle did not

Pass 04 looked right in Blender and wrong in the game: the cluster untextured, the legends blurred. The Blender render was never the deliverable; the bundle was. The Unity build tool now reads the textures back out of the finished bundle and refuses when a required one did not bind or a retired material is still referenced. Pass 05 shipped through that gate.

Whose sound it is

Reggie recorded the engine himself, microphone at the exhaust and in the cabin. 1.3.1 changed no game file. It states in the pack’s attribution, README and listing that the recordings are his, all rights reserved, not licensed for extraction or reuse in any other mod, and that the Creative Commons license on the body model covers the body model only. The mod is free and stays free; the words are what a free mod has.
