What shipped
WC M6 Gran Coupe v1.1.0 (mod folder BabyWarlockM6Performance): the same chassis, steering and audio as v1.0.1, plus a real lamp set. Tail lamps now light and read as one lamp across the trunk lid and the body. Reverse and the plate lamps under the bumper go white on reverse throttle, with a light thrown on the ground behind the car. The headlight’s DRL ring and projector now visibly switch with the lights, where before the nose looked the same day and night. Verified on V3.2.0 b10. The zip’s sha256 sits beside the download.
The lamps never worked
The lamp materials in the bundle carried the emission keyword the whole time; nothing in the pack had ever set it. At night the car’s tail end was just dark plastic. A small Harmony patch fixes that by driving the lens materials from the vehicle’s own state, the same approach already proven on the Roadmaster Smart-Fifth’s lamps two nights before.
Cut one: half the lamp lit
The first pass drove the body-side tail lens correctly, but the trunk lid carries its own copies of the lamp mesh under different names, and they fell outside the pattern the patch matched on. In game the car showed a lit lamp on the body and a dead one on the lid a few centimetres away — two different lamps where a real car has one. Reverse and the black plate lamps under the bumper stayed dark, and the headlight’s DRL ring and projector had no state at all.
Cut two: one lamp, four systems, one new problem
Every lamp piece, lid and body, was matched by the source model’s own naming and pooled into shared materials, so a tier lights as one lamp regardless of which half of the mesh it’s on. Reverse throttle now lights the reverse lens and the plate lamps and throws a flood on the road behind the car. The DRL ring and projector switch with the headlights.
The owner’s verdict was “excellent, excellent, excellent” — with one catch, caught by a screenshot: the rear seats read as lit red, like the brake lights were shining inside the cabin.
Cut three: the light was pointed at the back seat
The glow light behind each tail lamp had been parented to a small rig-marker node and offset “backward” in that node’s own local space. The marker’s rotation, inherited from how the source model’s rig was built, does not match the car’s own orientation, so backward-in-its-space pointed partway into the cabin instead of out past the bumper. The fix computes the light’s position from the vehicle’s real forward direction instead — exactly the approach already used, correctly, for the reverse flood a few lines away in the same file, which is why that light was never the problem. Range was also cut so it cannot reach the interior even if a future car’s rig marker turns out to be rotated some other unhelpful way. Approved on the fourth night drive: “Lock it in, bro. The M6 is done.”
What the release owes
LOD and damage-state meshes, and release-quality screenshots for the listing. Both carry over unchanged from v1.0.1.
