Environment Pack

The random-world-generator tiles: gateway interchange, river crossing, diamond interchange, and the WI54 interstate standard. 150 × 150 blocks per tile, built to a written geometry standard.

Environment Pack

What a tile is

7 Days to Die assembles its random worlds from 150-block square tiles. The Environment Pack replaces the flat vanilla road tiles with grade-separated infrastructure: a gateway interchange where a highway passes under a crossing street, a river crossing whose approach ramps hold an 8:1 rise, a diamond interchange with proper ramps, and eventually a 54-block interstate envelope with six lanes, median, and shoulders.

Standards borrowed from the real world

Ramp grades, lane widths, and interchange forms follow published highway design guidance, scaled to the game’s one-metre block. Two rules came out of testing rather than textbooks: elevate only over roads, never over open terrain, and keep the terrain surface continuous under a bridge the way the vanilla spans do, swapping the layer below the road instead of cutting a hole.

Current tiles

  • Gateway River Crossing V1 — accepted. Straight three-cell tile, seam version 1. Frozen; the next crossing will be a new tile, not a rebuild.
  • Gateway Viaduct — proven carriageway and authored water.
  • Diamond Interchange V2 — packaged prototype, 150 × 24 × 150. Passes every static gate. Has not been driven.
  • WI54 Warlock Interstate — a written contract and one straight specimen. Not a pack.

Compatibility intent

Vanilla random world generation, V3.x. Third-party road mods are evaluated separately and kept out of the evidence for vanilla behaviour.
