The release
TWC Roadmaster Deluxe 1.0.0 is its own mod, beside the TWC Roadmaster it runs on. The tractor is the Roadmaster with the fifth wheel 0.85 m further back, so a gooseneck has room to swing behind the sleeper. It comes with three trailers that haul vehicles: the 53’ step deck, the 53’ lowboy and the 53’ recovery lowboy. The three goosenecks were going to ship in the flatbed pack. On 21 October Taroos moved them in with the Deluxe, where they belong.
The winch
Park a vehicle behind the trailer or beside it, hold E on the trailer, and pick Winch vehicle on. The winch pulls it on, up the yellow ramps that slide out of the tail, and chains it down. Unload sets it back down. The recovery lowboy takes our own trucks, the TWC Workmaster mixer included. Taroos, on the ramps: “the slide outs, I really like them, man.”
Tested
On 22 October Taroos tested the V2.6 file on our second machine, on V2.6, and then the V3.3 file on V3.3, with a livery kit on each trailer:
- On V3.3: seventeen vehicles winched on, among them a gyrocopter, minibikes, a motorcycle, 4x4s and the mixer onto the recovery lowboy. Nine came off again, and seven chained vehicles were back on their trailers after a reload.
- On V2.6: vehicles winched on from behind and from beside, unloaded, and every chained vehicle back after a new game and two reloads.
The V2.6 file is the same files he tested there, byte for byte. On V2.6 you winch from the trailer’s menu.
